Course Brief

A full body workout for bone strengthening and balance, integrated with strength training and functional and rehabilitative exercises.

It focusses on bone-strengthening and balance-enhancing type of workouts that can benefit anyone looking to tone up, enhance posture, improve balance, and gain overall strength.

This class is safe for people with osteoporosis and arthritis. It is essentially a systematic approach utilising a set of techniques to strengthen bone tissue and improve balance while removing soft tissue restrictions.  

What you will learn

  • Exercises to strengthen your bones and joints

  • Improve balance and posture

  • Improve flexibility and feel good!

What to bring

  • Yoga mat and small towel

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Water bottle

  • Small hand weights and stretch bands are optional.  

Meet your tutor

Karina Reynolds

Karina is a dedicated Pilates instructor with over 15 years practice in the discipline. In 2020, she took her passion to new heights, training for 18 months with the National Pilates Training and attaining her Diploma of Pilates.  Karina shares her expertise with various studios and the U3A community, specialising in fostering strength and mobility among the mature aged community. She firmly believes in the transformative power of Pilates, recognising that building a strong foundation, practising balance and learning how to stabilise from the inside out are principles that can be applied not only to Pilates classes but also in daily life. 

Beyond her professional endeavours, Karina shares her home with her husband John, and their delightful Westie dog, Banjo. Together, they explore outdoor adventures, with Banjo even becoming her trusty companion on stand- up paddleboarding excursions during the summer months.
